These costs are quoted on different bases and are not directly comparable

Discount fee
Charged per invoice or trade cycle rather than per year. A fee that looks small can annualise into a much larger number when cycles repeat through the year.
Annual rate
Quoted as an annual rate on the outstanding balance.

What this filter actually selects for

Published funding speed measures the provider's target from a complete submission to funds released. It does not measure the part of the process businesses usually underestimate: assembling statements, reconciling figures, and answering the questions that follow. A provider advertising one-week funding and a business that takes three weeks to produce its records will together deliver a three-week outcome.

Speed is priced. Providers that fund fastest generally underwrite on narrower information, and they charge for the risk that narrower information carries. The comparison below shows cost alongside speed for exactly that reason — the two are not independent, and reading either in isolation produces the wrong decision.

Reading costs across different products

This page cuts across product types, which means the cost column contains quantities that are not directly comparable with one another. 2 different quoting conventions appear below. A fee charged per invoice cycle and a rate charged annually can show the same number and differ by an order of magnitude in what they actually cost.

The basis is shown against every figure for that reason. Comparing within a basis is meaningful; comparing across one is not, and any ranking that flattens them into a single "cheapest" column is producing a misleading answer confidently.

  • Discount fee: Charged per invoice or trade cycle rather than per year. A fee that looks small can annualise into a much larger number when cycles repeat through the year.
  • Annual rate: Quoted as an annual rate on the outstanding balance.

Before acting on this list

Fast funding is genuinely valuable when a deadline is real and the cost of missing it exceeds the premium. It is expensive when the deadline is preference. Before optimising for speed, it is worth establishing what actually breaks if funding lands two weeks later.

Caplift's assessment runs the same inputs a provider will — capacity, purpose, existing obligations, and the evidence behind the figures — and produces a readiness view and a structured comparison. It does not lend, and it does not decide. The decision stays with the business and its advisors.

Common questions

Questions businesses ask

Which Canadian lenders fund fastest?

24 providers in this catalogue publish a timeline of one-week or faster, across 5 product types. Published timelines are targets from a complete file, not guarantees, and they exclude the time a business spends preparing that file.

Does faster funding cost more?

Generally yes. Within this set the lowest published cost starts at 1%–3% (discount fee), and the range widens considerably above that. Providers underwriting in hours rather than weeks are working from less information and price accordingly.

Is a published timeline a commitment?

No. Published timelines are the provider's target once a complete application is in hand. They are not contractual, they assume clean documentation, and they can extend materially if verification raises questions.

Does Caplift lend or receive a fee for these listings?

No. Caplift Financial Inc. is software and is not a lender. Providers are compared from published information, inclusion is not an endorsement or a recommendation, and appearing on this page does not indicate a commercial relationship with Caplift.

About this data, and its limits

  • Figures are drawn from Caplift's Q1 2026 lender catalogue review and are indicative, not quotes. Curated from named Canadian lenders; confirm individual terms before relying on them.
  • 24 providers match this filter across 5 product types. Providers that publish no cost, and those that publish no criterion relevant to this filter, are not shown — absence here is not evidence about a provider either way.
  • Inclusion is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or an offer, and does not indicate a commercial relationship with Caplift. Pricing and criteria change without notice — confirm current terms directly with the provider before relying on them.
  • Caplift compiles this information to the best of its ability from publicly available provider material, but does not guarantee that it is accurate, complete, or current, and accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on it. Figures may be out of date or incorrect. Verify anything you intend to act on directly with the provider.
